Venkata Babji, a resident of Maharanipeta, got a message on his mobile on Sunday morning that Rs.15,000 was withdrawn from his bank account. He was shocked to see in the message ‘withdrawal from ATM at Ramnagar' as his ATM card was with him.
On Monday morning, he went to the bank branch and enquired with the officials concerned regarding the fraudulent transaction. They failed to give a satisfactory reply. He lodged a complaint with the Two Town Police on Wednesday.

Man drugged, robbed
A passenger travelling by the Dibrugarh – Chennai Express was reportedly drugged and his bag and certificates were stolen by some unidentified miscreants.
L. Dayanand Singh of Manipur was going to Chennai when two unidentified miscreants drugged him before the train reached Visakhapatnam on Wednesday morning. The victim got down at Visakhapatnam and lodged a complaint with the Government Railway Police.
The victim, who was in a dazed condition, was shifted to the King George Hospital for treatment.

Dies in hospital
A man died after accidentally coming in contact with a live wire. G. Adinarayana, 46, an employee of a bank, was living at Salipeta. On Tuesday night, he went out of his house to attend a nature's call. He came in contact with a live wire that was hanging from a pole and suffered a shock.
He was shifted to a hospital, where he died later. Two Town Police are investigating the case.
